The DM10 M240 defibrillator has a pacemaker function. This means it can send electrical impulses to the heart to control its rhythm. A pacemaker is often used in cases where the heart beats too slowly or irregularly. With the DM10 M240 pacemaker function, doctors can choose between different pacing modes and adjust the pacing frequency according to the patient's condition.
Pacer, L/R (internal defibrillation) and R/D (temporary defibrillation) modules can be connected to the DM 10 module slots.
The DM 10 and DM 30 offer a side slot for modules such as a pacemaker module, which is particularly convenient for the operator. Compared to normal pacemakers, it is not necessary to remove the paddles to connect the pacemaker/defibrillator cable. With PRIMEDIC™ pacemakers, the pacemaker/defibrillator cable simply connects to the module. If a pacing/defibrillation cable is connected, the paddle electrodes will turn off.
If defibrillation is required during pacing, a shock can be delivered using shock-absorbing electrodes. The module's release button controls the energy load and shock release. In addition, buffer electrodes can be used for manual defibrillation when the pacemaker is inactive.
The R/D module can be used if a pacemaker is not needed and the user does not wish to supply power through the paddles. Buffer electrodes for manual defibrillation are connected to this module.
